Meet Chloe Belle & Boo Boo.   The little Sweeties peeking around the flowers above are my chihuahuas when they were 6 months old.  I would like to share some pictures and a little story about Chloe & Boo Boo with you.  As you read the story click on the little flowers down the center of the page for photos.

           You see although I love animals, I never thought of myself as the little dog kind of person but after dogsitting "Pepper", my friends chihuahua, for a week, I found it very enjoyable to have a little friend to cuddle up with on the couch.  Just so happens that my friend, Sandra had a litter of chihuahua puppies due anytime.   So when the babies were born I went to pick me out a puppy.   I picked a little girl puppy but she was far from ready to come home with me then.   It would be another 5 or 6 weeks.....or so I thought.

           A few days later, Sandra called with bad news.   The Mommy could not feed the babies anymore because she had milk fever so the pups would have to be bottle fed.  After stopping at the store for some replacement milk I went to pick up my puppy....or so I thought. 

         With basket in hand, I arrived at Sandra's and peered in the box at the 7 day old puppies.  I picked up my girl puppy and put her in my basket but this cute little boy puppy caught my eye!  He had a tan face with black spots around each eye that met across the bridge of his nose.   He looked as though he had sunglasses on.  And so home I went with Chloe Belle and Boo Boo snuggled together in their little basket, soon to meet their new Daddy that was waiting to see the new puppy.....or so he thought!

         For three and a half weeks, Chloe and Boo Boo were bottle fed about every three hours.   Patience and dedication were a necessity during that time and for the most part bottle feeding was a success.  Boo Boo had a few episodes of what seemed to have been colic and little Chloe could never seem to get the milk fast enough.  My hubby was not real thrilled about two puppies at first but within a few days he had changed his mind. Now Boo Boo is his best buddy!
